Book Review: Open Minds by Susan Quinn

I just recently finished a book called Open Minds by Susan Quinn. It is a science fiction book that takes place in modern day Minnesota, where the world is full of readers, people that can read and have their minds read by everyone. Except few. These rare few that cannot are called zeroes. No one trusts zeros, baca use their minds can’t be read. Kira, a 16 year old girl in her sophomore year is one. Her only friend is a reader named Raf. Her parents are readers, or so she thinks. Everything changes when she meets another zero-in-hiding, simon. Together, they uncover secrets that only few know. You can download the book on an app called watpad, and it is also available at your local book store

How to Thumb Wrestle With Multiple People

If you have ever lived as a child, you have thumb wrestled with someone. It’s probably dated back to freaking 300 B.C. or something. It’s fun with 2 people, but you can never fit more than 2 in. That my friends, is why I’m here. It’s actually quite simple! This can work with like 10 people. First, you need at least 3 people. Have everybody put in their right hand, with your palm to your left, and your thumb straight up. Then, all of y’all then need to wrap your hands around each others. There them are two sets of rules; either set can do. The first set, is that there is no winner. You just keep playing until you’re bored. The second way you can play, is that whenever you hold down anyone’s thumb for 5 seconds, they’re out of the game. You keep playing like this until someone wins. The picture below is how it should look. I hope y’all have fun with this!

A Few Poems

A Haiku about summer

It’s so freaking hot
Why the heck do bugs exist
My sweat is sweating
-@-@-@-@-@-@-@-@-@-@-@
A haiku about school

I’m so freaking bored
You do not learn anything
I want to go home
-@-@-@-@-@-@-@-@-@-@-@
A haiku about people I hate

Why do you exist
Please just go die in a hole
Were you dropped at birth?

A haiku about BACON

BACON is divine
So wavy and delicious
Poor non-meat eaters

Why I love the kitchen

A closet, a T.V. Room, a living room, is probably the average american’s favorite room. Mine is the kitchen.
I mean, it has FOODThe BestThing on earth! Like for example, pizza, potatoes, carrots, soup, crackers, and BACON!Then, it has drinks to go with your food, like soda and pie, milk and steak, tea and scones, and all of that fits in one room!
You could survive a month in the kitchen. You would die within 2days in your TV room. After all, you can’t eat wires and circuit boards. Also, no one cares if you stuff you gob with bacon in the kitchen, you can’t do that in the bathroom, or a closet.
The final reason to love a kitchen is that you can cook food I. It! I mean, you can make cupcakes, pie, pizza, and BACONin the kitchen! Try cooking in your study, or office.
And that my friends, is why I love the kitchen!

Doctor Who quote

I’m the Doctor. I’m Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey in the constellation Kasterborous. I’m 903 years old, and I’m the man that’s going to save your lives and the six billion people on the planet below. You got a problem with that? In that case, Allons-y!

Hunting

Just about a month ago, I went deer hunting in California. I moved from California to Texas, so our family had plenty of friends there, and a man named Daniel (the names have been changed) was one of them. He lived in the valley, close to the cashe creek golf course, where me, my dad, Daniel, and his son, Mason, went hunting. On the first day, I saw a buck. I jumped out if the jeep, cocked my rifle (7mm-08), snapped the bipods into place, and used a rock as a rest. I shot, and missed. The second time, I hit it in the lung, causing the deer to drown. It weighed 175 pounds (with the head, skin, organs, etc.) it was the first deer I shot, and I was proud of myself

Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board

T start off my blog, I am writing about a book I am currently reading. the book is titled Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board by Zoe Aarsen. it is a sci-fi paranormal themed book. its is about McKenna Brady, a high school girl who lives in a small town, who gets accepted into the popular social circle. she is invited to a sleepover by Olivia Richmond, the most popular girl in school. after watching a series of movies, they quickly get bored. Hannah, another girl who was recently gets accepted into the popular circle, suggests a game called Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board. one person lies on the ground with 4 other people around the person with their fingertips underneath him/her. the person at the head of the person lying down tells a gruesome story about how the person lying down dies. they then chant all together :Light as a feather, stiff as a board.” then, the chant supposedly hypnotizes the people holding the person lying down, allowing them to lift the person with only their fingertips. they then try the game, with Olivia laying down. Hannah then tells a story about Olivia’s death. she is at the mall, buying a new pair of shoes. her car cannot start, so she hitches a ride home. then, it starts to hail. the person driving Olivia cannot see the road, and hits a 16-wheeler head on. Olivia then is in a car wreck. her shoes and her arm are found on the side of the road, leaving the remains of her body misconfigured. 2 weeks later, Olivia was in a wreck. the setting was the same as Hannah told the night of the sleepover. McKenna is very suspicions, and is trying to find out how Hannah fits in to the story, and if she did in fact, kill Olivia.
